Port Blair, July 21: On 20/07/14, a police team of Central Crime Station and Special Branch (CID) led by Inspector Solomon Samuel, SHO CCS along with staff acting upon an information that some persons are illegally cutting trees and using the wood to make furniture at an unauthorized factory, raided and seized Padauk Timber worth Rs. 4 lakhs (approx.) from the premises of one Shri. P.V. Mohd. Jaffer R/o Malapuram who was arrested along with his two labourers namely Nabo Kumar Sarkar and Sadan Mondal both resident of Wimberlygunj. All the seized timber along with arrested 03 persons were handed over to the Forest Officials for taking further action.
