Port Blair, Aug 05: The Coast Guard Region (A&N) has been awarded Trophy and Certificate of Merit by Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Port Blair, for commendable performance of official Language Policy during the year 2011-12. The Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (A&N) has also been adjudged as second amongst central Govt. Organization functioning at Port Blair.
The award and certificate of Merit was received by Commandant Arvind Sharma, the Chief Staff Officer (Personnel & Administration), on behalf of Coast Guard Region (A&N), at a function at CARI on Aug 2, a CG communique said.
