Port Blair, Aug 08: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, Pradesh Congress Committee who is on a short tour to Middle Andaman has visited the Government Secondary School, Uttara and was shocked to witness the dilapidated condition of the school building and noticed the pathetic condition being faced by the students and the teachers in such a dilapidated school building.
A group of about 50 students of class IXth and Xth Standards met Mr. Sharma and told him that due to non availability of a Teacher in Mathematics, they have to go to the Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Uttara to get themselves prepared in this particular subject.
From the same spot, Mr. Sharma called the Director of Education, A&N Administration, talked about the problems and urged for immediate remedial solutions for the welfare of the students and teachers. The Director of Education has reportedly assured him of immediate positioning a Maths teacher in the said school and also assured for the repairing and maintenance of the school building.
