Port Blair, Feb 19: It seems as of entire police force is fully charged up after new DGP, Mr. Satyendra Garg has taken over the command.
Now the team of PS Humfrygunj has seized huge amount of highly addictive drug Methamphetamine, which is also known as crystal meth worth several lakhs.
As per details today credible information was received that one person possessing illicit Methamphetamine is looking for customers to sell it at Guptapara area.
Immediately, the information was conveyed to SDPO Bambooflat, Mr. Kalaivanan, IPS wherein he directed to constitute a raiding team comprising of SI Anik Das, SHOPS Humfrygunj alongwith others. Mr. Kalaivanan IPS (SDPO B/Flat) also joined the raiding team.
At around 7 PM, the police team headed by SDPO (B/Flat) reached Rubber Plantation, Guptapara and found Arobindu Biswas with a black colour bag. While searching the bag found one transparent polythene packet wrapped with Khaki Colour Cello Tape containing white type substance (Methamphetamine), weighing 650 Grams which was seized on the spot after observing all codal formalities.
Accordingly, a case has been registered against the accused Arobindu Biswas, 21 years, and a resident of RK Pur, Little Andaman. The whole operation has been conducted under the overall supervision of Mr. Ravi Kumar Singh IPS, Supdt. of Police South Andaman District.
