Diglipur, Jan. 06: Vaccination drive for beneficiaries in the age bracket of 15-18 years which began from Monday i.e. 03/01/2022 across the country is in full swing in Diglipur.
Children born between 01.01.2005 to 31.12.2007 are eligible to be given the first dose of the vaccine (COVAXIN). Potential beneficiaries can register themselves on the Co-WIN portal which commenced on January 1, 2022, or they can also avail of a walk-in registration at the vaccination centre.
With the cooperation of DEO, Diglipur Zone, children are being mobilized by the school teachers and brought to the vaccination centre following covid appropriate behavior for vaccination drive.
Similarly, vaccination drive is in progress also at PHC Kishorinagar and PHC Kalighat. As per report, there is no shortage of covaxin for teenagers. A separate counter has been arranged at CVC Diglipur for them.
Till date children in the 15-18 age group, 500 children at Diglipur, 150 at Kalighat and 150 at Kishorinagar have been administered with the first dose of COVAXIN, a source said.
Vaccination of second dose of COVISHIELD for other beneficiaries is going in parallel, the source further added.
