Diglipur, July 24: On 22nd July 2022, SBI Diglipur Branch under the guidance of RBO 1, South 24 Parganas module, organized a RatriChoupal, “MeraGaonMera Bank” program to meet the farmers and SHG members in the premises of Madhupur Gram Panchayat.
The program started with the welcome song performed by the little kids from Govt. Secondary School, Madhupur at 05.00pm. The event was inaugurated with lighting of Diya by the Chief Guest Mr. Anuj Kr. Bharti (DANICS), the Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur, Mr. Suman Bakshi, SBI, Regional Manager, Mr. Rajendra Kumar, BDO, Diglipur and other govt. officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the ACDP, BDO and Mr. ShyamalDebnath, Pradhan GP Madhupur and also all other dignitaries present there expressed their heartfelt thanks for conducting such a program and hailed the initiatives taken by the Bank in this direction. The Regional Manager and other officials in their speech/interaction with the farmers and SHG members explained about KCC loan, Financial discipline and CIBIL, benefits of interest subvention, awareness about allied activities, modern farming techniques and different social security schemes. Then there was cultural programs performed by the students of the school and the performing students were gifted souvenirs as token of appreciation.
The Regional Manager then distributed the sanction letters and cheque replica to the farmers. The program ended with the vote of thanks by Mr. Sujay Das, Branch Manager, SBI Diglipur Branch.
Earlier in the morning on Friday, as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Regional Manager along with a female staff visited the school and a program on motivation. The RM delivered motivational speeches to the girl students of the school and they were also encouraged with the distribution of mementos by the Bank Official.
The following day, i.e. on 23rd July, the SBI Officials interacted with more farmers and reached out to the fields and saw their activities. RatriChoupal, “MeraGaonMera Bank” was conducted at mainland in the Eastern regions on the same date while this program is stated to be the first of its kind in A & N Islands, the SBI source said.
