Port Blair, Mar 19: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) recently concluded a 3-day long tourism roadshow in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism. The event, which took place from 16-18 March, was deemed a great success and culminated in a grand function at the Peerless Resort.
The roadshow was inaugurated by Shri.Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, and saw the participation of 30 renowned tour operators, social media influencers, bloggers, and photographers from all over the country. During their stay, the participants visited several popular tourist spots in Port Blair and Swaraj Dweep and also had the opportunity to explore various hotels and resorts in the islands.
At the concluding function, Shri K. Hamza, General Secretary of AATO, welcomed the delegates, while Shri M. Vinod, President AATO, briefed them about the activities of the association. Shri Saikat Biswas, Joint Secretary of the association, presented a presentation on A&N Islands, and Shri Mohammed Jadwet also addressed the delegates. All participants were presented with mementos by AATO and souvenirs by Symphony resorts.
According to Shri Vinod, this roadshow was the first of its kind in the islands and will help promote Andamans on the global tourism map while showcasing the pristine beauty of the islands to the world. He expressed his gratitude towards the Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India, India Tourism Kolkata, A&N Administration, and all tourism stakeholders who supported the event and made it possible.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Ramakrishna, Assistant Director, India Tourism. This event is expected to have a positive impact on the tourism industry in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and attract more tourists to the region in the future.
