Port Blair, Apr 12: Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder, Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker and Chairman, Adivasi Congress Mr. Sebastian Tirkey on Tuesday visited the villages of Gandhi Nagar, Ganesh Nagar and Shanti Nagar under the leadership of Senior Congress leader Mr. Ujjal Das and heard the grievances of villagers and tried to solve them as well.
During the visit, villagers apprised the Congress leaders about scarcity of drinking water, lack of healthcare facilities, connectivity issues, land registration issues etc. The Congress leaders had lunch with the villagers of Shanti Nagar and dinner with the villagers of Ganesh Nagar.
The villagers were very happy with the visit of Congress leaders as from a long time no political leader had visited their village and heard their problems.
Ex-Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh Mr. Sushil Mondal, Samiti Member- Subash Gram Mr. Madhai Murshid, Samiti Member-Diglipur Mr. K. Karuppaiah, Ex-BCC General Secretary Mr. Asit Bain, Ex-Pradhan-Diglipur Panchayat Mr. Ramchandran and several other leaders accompanied the visit.
