Port Blair, May 14: The victory of Congress party in the Karnataka Assembly elections brought cheers to its camp in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, with party leaders and workers of Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) joining the celebrations on Saturday evening.
Shouting slogans and waving the party flags, several Congress workers gathered in front of Gandhi Bhawan, Port Blair and joined the celebration as the results made it apparent that the Congress is winning the Karnataka Elections.
The enthusiastic Congress workers were also seen bursting firecrackers and distributing sweets to the commuters.
They exuded confidence that the Congress party will repeat the performance in other States and UT’s, where elections are due to be held.
In a press note, ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder said that the Modi era has come to an end and people of Karnataka have slammed the divisive politics of Bhartiya Janta Party.
“The Congress Party’s victory in the Karnataka Election has set the narrative for the 2024 General Election. We congratulate the voters of Karnataka for rejecting the governance of BJP”, he added.
ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker said that this election result will be a trendsetter for the next year’s general elections as people have decided to teach a lesson to BJP for its anti-people policies.
“Huge credit goes to Mr. Rahul Gandhi for this historic victory in the Karnataka elections”, he added.
