Lt. Governor, ANI unveils Official Logo of Andaman Nicobar Police, crafted by Jag Jeevan Ram

Port Blair, June 16: In a momentous occasion, the Lt. Governor, Andaman Nicobar Islands has launched the official logo of the esteemed Andaman Nicobar Police. The unveiling ceremony took place with great honor as the logo was unveiled by the Lieutenant Governor, A&N Islands, marking a significant milestone for both the designer and the police force. Through this new logo, the Andaman Nicobar Police has been given a new motto viz. Nirbhay, Nipun, Nispaksh depicting the selfless services of brave policemen.
The prestigious design has been crafted by the well-known designer of these islands, Mr. Jag Jeevan Ram, who is serving as a Section Officer in the ICMR-RMRC, Port Blair.
Shri Jeevan has not only devoted himself to his official responsibilities but has also showcased his remarkable talent as an emblem illustrator on a voluntary basis. His artistic prowess has proven to be a valuable asset for numerous government organizations, earning him widespread recognition at the national level. He has garnered immense appreciation for designing logos for prestigious international and national events, along with departmental insignias.
Among his notable achievements, Mr. Jeevan is renowned for his involvement in the design of the iconic 75 rupees coin. This coin, unveiled by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India during a historic visit to Port Blair on December 30, 1943, carries the hallmark of Mr. Jeevan’s exceptional creativity. Furthermore, he was also entrusted with the responsibility of designing the official insignia for the Dadra Nagar Haveli & Daman Diu Police, further cementing his reputation as a highly sought-after designer.
The selection of Mr. Jeevan’s design as the official logo of the Andaman Nicobar Police symbolizes a remarkable achievement for both the artist and the police force. The logo, a testament to Mr. Jeevan’s extraordinary talent and dedication, embodies the values and aspirations of the police department. Its aesthetic appeal and symbolism are expected to instill a sense of pride and unity among the police personnel and the community they serve.
Mr. Jeevan’s exceptional achievements and the recognition he has received for his artistic endeavors have added yet another feather to his illustrious cap.
