Port Blair, Aug 13: A draft Caravan Tourism Policy has been prepared by the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism, A&N Administration aiming to regulate and promote Caravan Tourism in A&N Islands. As the UT Administration is taking efforts towards sustainable and inclusive tourism practices, suggestions, inputs and comments on the draft policy is being invited by the public, tourism stakeholders and Govt. Departments.
Caravan is a popular form of eco-tourism, which offers a unique and immersive way to explore the natural beauty, beaches and culture of these Islands. The draft Caravan Policy outlines a framework to strike a balance between boosting tourism and preserving the ecological balance of these Islands.
The draft policy is placed in the public domain seeking suggestions/comments/inputs from general public, tourism stakeholders, various departments etc. The draft policy is available in the official website of Directorate of IP&T https://www.andamantourism.gov.in. All comments/suggestions/inputs may be submitted to the Directorate of IP&T within a period of 30 days starting from Aug.12 to Sept.12, 2023.
