Port Blair, August 23: In a daring night-time operation, a King Cobra, was successfully rescued from the premises of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Panchwati, Middle Andaman, around 9:00 PM yesterday.
The rescued snake, measuring an impressive 8 feet in length, was expertly captured by Mr. Manjeet Singh, commonly referred to as the Snake Man of Andamans. Mr. Singh, Deputy Ranger of the Wildlife unit in the Forest Department, was called upon to handle the delicate task.
Following proper protocols and directives from superiors, the King Cobra will be released back into its natural habitat, ensuring its safety while mitigating potential risks to human habitations.
