December 14, 2023 by sanjib Leave a Comment

Vikramaditya
Port Blair, Dec 14: Two unidentified and decomposed bodies, one male and one female, have been found near Chattan area of Hut Bay, Little Andaman today. According to sources, one body was discovered near sea shore during the afternoon, while the other was found later in the day.
The bodies, both in an advanced state of decomposition, defy recognition, appearing to be approximately 10 to 15 days old.
As per information both the bodies have been recovered by police and efforts are on to find if there is match with missing person reports from nearby Islands.
However, highly placed sources said that the bodies might be of Rohingya people as in past cases of Rohingya boat accidents and throwing of bodies from Rohingya boats, while on their journey from Bangladesh to Malaysia, have been reported by International media.
Hence there is a need for police to carryout patrolling in nearby areas of Chattan area of Hut Bay to make sure there is no more bodies in the area.
