Port Blair, Dec 15: In a grim turn of events, a total of eight unidentified and decomposed bodies have been recovered from the seashore area of Hut Bay today. This discovery comes on the heels of the retrieval of two bodies yesterday, bringing the overall count to ten.
The authorities have yet to ascertain the identities of these deceased individuals. However, there is growing speculation among many that these bodies may belong to Rohingya people. Concerns are rising among locals that the number of discovered bodies in the Hut Bay seashore area might increase. It is reported that bodies are nearly 10 to 15 days old.
This suspicion is rooted in the unfortunate history of Rohingya boat accidents and instances of bodies being thrown from Rohingya boats during their perilous journey from Bangladesh to Malaysia. Such incidents have been previously reported by international media.
Sources reveal that the coast guard and police teams are intensifying patrolling efforts in the coastal areas of Hut Bay to manage the situation and prevent further distressing discoveries. The mystery surrounding these bodies deepens as police officials continue their investigations to determine the cause and circumstances behind this tragic occurrence.
