Port Blair, Dec. 19: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign continued its urban outreach in Ward No. 19 and Ward No. 20, witnessing an enthusiastic response from the residents. The specially designed IEC Van dedicated to the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was warmly received at Ward No. 19 by the Ward Councilor, Shri Vetrivelu and local residents. A screening of informative videos was screened. A Sankalp pledge was administered by Ward Councilor, Shri Vetrivelu, highlighting the significance of unified efforts towards advancing India’s development. He highlighted the significance of the Yatra and urged active participation to reap its benefits. Emphasizing the importance of spreading awareness, the Ward Councillor encouraged the gathering to disseminate information about the array of Government of India schemes operational in the Islands. A cultural program was also held. The event also featured ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani,’ a platform where beneficiaries shared firsthand experiences of the Government’s flagship schemes, emphasizing their life-altering outcomes.
In the evening, the IEC Van of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ was given a warm welcome by Smti Pandi Selvi, Ward Councillor of Ward No. 20 and local residents. Videos showcasing the initiatives of Viksit Bharat by the Government of India were screened, followed by the administration of the Sankalp Pledge. Inspirational stories shared during ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ further motivated individuals to avail themselves of these beneficial schemes. The occasion also witnessed the felicitation of commendable workers from PBMC for their exceptional contributions to the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ campaign across both Wards.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event will be held on Dec. 20 at 10 AM at Brookshabad Community Hall in Ward No. 21. Later in the day, at 3 PM, the event will be held at Durga Puja Pandal, Brichgunj, Ward No. 22. This event is a golden opportunity for area residents to engage and benefit from various schemes implemented by the GoI. All area residents have been requested to take part in this program and find out the diverse benefits offered through various departmental and Council initiatives.
