Port Blair, Feb 11: In accordance with the provision of Rule 4 (f) and (k) of Andaman and Nicobar Marine Fishing Rules, 2004 all the fishing licences granted will expire on 31st March 2013. Hence, all the fishing boat owners/fishers are to get their Fishing licences renewed immediately.
The renewal work of all the Fishing licences for the year 2013-14 falling within the jurisdiction of South Andaman District will commence from 15th February 2013. All the boat owners/Fishers are to get their fishing licences renewed within the prescribed time limit.
In this connection the A&N Administration vide DIT Order no. 49 & 50 dated 20.01.2012 has entrusted the responsibility of Renewal of Fishing license/Fisher ID Card to Common Service Centre (CSC)/e-Dweep Kendra.
All the Fishers of Port Blair Municipal area are advised to approach their respective CSC or Area Fishery Officer for the purpose of renewal/issue of licence and registration.
For the Fisher community residing within the jurisdiction of Panchayat Samity Prothrapur, Ferrargunj and Little Andaman, the licence and registration work will be attended to by the concerned area Fishery Officers of the Fisheries Department.
Alongwith renewal of licence, basic data form for the preparation of Marine Fisher ID. Card for leftover Fishers will also be taken up by the staff of Fisheries Department. Hence the leftover Fishers are also requested to report alongwith Ration card/ Islander card /Election card etc. for enrolment.
