Sri Vijaya Puram, May 3:World Intellectual Property Day, 2025 was celebrated on May 2 by ICAR-CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram in a befitting manner under the Chairmanship of Dr. E.B.Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI. The celebration of World Intellectual Property Day offers a unique opportunity for sharing advances in Intellectual Property Rights and how Intellectual Property (IP) helps and enables the technological innovation that drives Indian Economy. The campaign also offers an opportunity to highlight the role that IP rights, such as, patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyright, that play in encouraging innovation and creativity.
In his address, Dr. E.B.Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI said awareness on IPR protection needs to be continued. Dr. T.Sujatha, Principal Scientist & Incharge-Institute Technology Management Unit, ICAR-CIARI also spoke on the occasion.
The programme featured two lectures. A total of 72 participants including scientists, projects staff and students of ICAR-CIARI, ICMR and NIOT attended the programme.
