Sri Vijaya Puram, May 13: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), in association with Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM), successfully organised a Rozgar Mela (Employment Fair) at the JNRM Auditorium, aimed at bridging the gap between talented youth and employment opportunities in the tourism and allied sectors.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. H.K. Sharma, Principal of JNRM, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Mr. M. Vinod, President of AATO, was present as Guest of Honour, and addressed the gathering of students, faculty members, recruiters, and industry representatives.
The employment fair witnessed participation from over 300 students, including final-year and recent graduates from streams such as BBA Tourism, B.Com, BCA, and M.Com. A total of 20 recruiting organisations from the tourism and service sector actively engaged with the students through interviews and interaction sessions.
The Rozgar Mela concluded on a successful note with 40+ candidates selected for placement, reflecting the enthusiasm of employers to recruit local talent and the readiness of students to enter the professional workforce.
AATO thanked the management of JNRM for their support and reiterated its commitment to nurturing local youth and strengthening the skilled workforce for Andaman’s growing tourism industry.
