Chief Hydrographer Calls on Lt. Governor; Discusses Development Potential in ANI Waters Post-Baseline Notification

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 26:Vice Admiral Lochan Singh Pathania, Chief Hydrographer to the Government of India, National Hydrographic Office (a Nodal Agency for Hydrographic Surveys, Nautical Charting/Publications and Maritime Safety Services) of the Indian Navy on visit to A&N Islands called on Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM, (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today at Raj Niwas. Consequent to the issuance of April 2025 Gazette Notification with regard to the Baseline System covering, inter alia Andaman & Nicobar Islands waters, emerging potential for developmental projects were discussed.
