Sri Vijaya Puram, Jun 11: On the occasion of Child Labour Day, Mrs. Farida Bibi (CRY Representative) & Team organized a powerful awareness program and rally aimed at highlighting the urgent need to eliminate child labour and promote children’s right to education.
The event was graced by Mrs. Zarina Bibi, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Urban Projects, Department of Social Welfare, who served as the chief guest and also led the rally. Her presence added significant weight to the event and inspired wide community participation.
The rally witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of over 120 participants, including students, parents, volunteers, and local residents. Carrying banners and chanting slogans, the participants marched through key areas of the town to spread awareness about the negative consequences of child labour.
In her address to the gathering, Mrs. Zarina Bibi emphasized the importance of education in shaping a child’s future and building a progressive society. She highlighted the adverse impact of child labour on physical and emotional development, and called upon the community to work together to ensure that every child enjoys their right to a safe and nurturing childhood.

She stated, “Education is the most powerful tool we can provide our children. Child labour deprives them of their fundamental rights and robs them of their future. Together, we must create a society where no child is forced to work at the cost of their dreams.”
