PBMC extends casual status for 257 senior most DRMs

Port Blair, Jun 30: In a simple function held in the B.R.Ambedkar Municipal Auditorium the Port Blair Municipal Council has extended Casual Status to its 257 senior most DRMs on today the 30th June, 2017.  These workers will get 1/30th pay plus DA which result about additional monthly wages of about Rs. 10,000/-.  Presently they are getting about Rs.8,000/- per month but now they will get about Rs. 19,000/- per month.  ShirB.Eswar Rao, Chairperson, Municipal Council, Shri N.K.Udaya Kumar, Sr.Vice Chairperson, Shri Dharmendar Narayan, Jr. Vice Chairperson, SmtiShashiKaushal, Secretary (i/c), PBMC, Councillors, Officers and officials of the Council were also present in the occasion. The Chairperson Shri.B.Eswar Rao also expressed his gratitude to Smti.ShashiKaushal, Secretary (i/c) PBMC and Officials of the Council for working together to make the event a grand success in short time span. He further announced that steps are being taken to promote about 200 casual mazdoors who are serving the council for the past 10-15 years to the post of regular mazdoors (WCM) within the next month. The programme concluded with the Vote of thanks proposed by Shri.Biju Pillai, Project Officer of the Council.
