Port Blair, June 07: For the convenience of the visitors and to streamline the existing process. The on-line booking of tickets for Light & Sound show at Cellular Jail and Ross Island has been made functional by the Department of IP&T in association with NIC, Port Blair. Now applicants need not to visit the Directorate of IP&T for payment and issue of tickets. The advance booking is permitted 90 days in advance and upto 3.00 pm on the date of Show at https://www.andamantourism.gov.in/etourist. The e-Tickets is Non-Transferable and non-cancellable.
After making online booking, a computer print of the e-Ticket generated from Portal or an image saved on Mobile Phone will be accepted as valid document for entry. Photo Identity Proof of the Visitor is must for entry to the show and any attempt of impersonation will be dealt with strict action and the person will be liable for prosecution under relevant law in public interest.
All the existing bookings made so far without making payments are liable to be cancelled in case applicable payments are not made prior to 30.06.2018. The payment can be done by clicking on the ‘Search and print Bookings’ tab on web page https:// www.andamamantourism.gov.in/etourist. All the existing bookings without payment will be deemed cancelled after 30.06.2018. Intimation to this effect is also being sent through SMS/e-mail details provided by the applicants in registration process.
All tourists and tourism service providers are hereby requested to use this facility and provide accurate information while making on-line bookings. If the information provided is found wrong, the e-tickets will be deemed cancelled without any refund and appropriate action as per applicable law may also be initiated for providing wrong information.
