Port Blair, Jan 19: Brining joy for the residents of North and Middle Andaman the Administration has provided the facilities of booking STS express bus tickets, five days in advance. This will not only help public of North and Middle Andaman to plan their journey well in advance but also make the process of getting tickets easier.
Till now in some STS ticketing counters in North and Middle, there were facility to block tickets in advance but tickets were only issued one day before journey because of which there was always an uncertainty over getting a Bus Ticket on time.
But now public can get printed STS express bus tickets five days in advance, which is a big achievement of North and Middle Andaman District Administration.
Talking to media the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman, Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan said that North and Middle Andaman District has a vast area hence the importance of public transport increases many folds. She said that now it will be very convenient for public to plan their well and District Administration is working hard to mitigate such major problems of general public.
The DC added that this advance booking system will also be helpful for District Administration to monitor that in which route there is more advance ticket booking and hence the District Administration will be able decide that on which route more Buses are required. Hence the new system will help public in both ways.
