Port Blair, Nov 10: Mrs. Anjali Sehrawat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman said that special camps have been organized for the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination in North and Middle Andaman.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha correspondent yesterday, Mrs. Sehrawat, DC, NMA said that for the development of the NMA District, cooperation of general public is needed, with only efforts of a single person, success cannot be achieved.
The DC, NMA further pointed out that, the process of COVID-19 vaccination drive is going on very smoothly in NMA. About 80% of the people have now been fully vaccinated with both the doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the NMA district, she added.
However, the people who are now eligible for the second dose of vaccine are being tracked by the Control Room and they are asked to come for their second dose of vaccine. Every day data is being monitored to check whether the people called for their second dose are vaccinated or not, the DC said.
She added that approximately 2000-3000 people are left for their second dose of vaccine; to completely cover them a COVID-19 vaccination camps are being organized, the information regarding this special camp is being provided to people through social media platforms.
“We hope that people who are eligible for the second dose of vaccine will be 100 % vaccinated in this month,” the DC added.
