Diglipur, May 17: People of Diglipur lamented that the road especially the stretch from Sitanagar to Kalara Junction has turned hazardous owing to its dilapidated condition and the accidents have increased manifold.
“The concerned agency should have been proactive to the road construction, we recently underwent a nightmarish experience with our children, family members and luggages at the Kalara junction due to road-blockage and the vehicular movement remained stand-still for hours together” said the passengers. Despite hue and cry, the concerned agency is less concerned about the damaged road, said a number of people sharing the ordeal on another occasion.
Another person, on condition of anonymity, said, “The local administration should impress upon the concerned agency to construct or repair the stretch of the NH/ATR which is in a dilapidated condition on a priority basis as lives are very precious.”
