Port Blair, May 15: ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder on Monday requested the Administration to provide regular water supply at the Port Blair Municipal New Dharamshala which is located near Netaji Stadium, Port Blair.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Mr. Halder Said that “In the past months, there is a vast scarcity of water supply in DHARAMSHALA through which the people were forced to leave the place and alternatively have to migrate at lodges by paying high prices”.
He has pointed towards the Inter-Islands residents who were staying at DHARAMSALA to sort their in-circumstances by acquiring their availability of food, water and a proper place to stay.
Mr. Halder also mentioned that “In Port Blair it is the only place having proper accommodation benefits for the people arriving from Inter-Islands with low prices. He stated that “The Port Blair Municipal Council and The Andaman Public Works Department have to take the responsibility for delivering instant water supply in the DHARAMSHALA”.
He further requested the Administration to take immediate steps for providing systematic durability of water supply at the DHARAMSHALA in Port Blair.
