Port Blair, Feb 07: A social and cultural organization Chetna bid farewell to the Director of Postal Services, A & N Islands Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav, also a well known Writer, Poet and Blogger. Mr. Yadav has been transferred as Director Postal Services, Allahabad Region in Uttar Pradesh. On this occasion Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav was honoured by giving him the Honorary membership of Chetna for his contribution towards A & N Islands, not only as administrator but also as a sensitive Poet and Writer. The farewell and Honour programme was organized at the TGCE auditorium on 6th February 2012, in which several well known poets, writers and members of Chetna Participated.
Dr. R. N Rath, President Chetna and Head of Political Science Dept., JNRM College said that A man of great energy, enthusiasm, activeness and attractive persona Mr. KK Yadav is apt at handling administrative work as well as literary work. He Contributed a lot in literary & Cultural scenario of Islands and wrote many articles regarding various aspects of Islands and it were published in reputed magazines/Journales in all over India. Mr. M. H Khan, Ex. Director of All India Radio welcomed the gathering and share his feelings about KK Yadav, that On one hand, he is popular for his emotional, significant and thoughtful poems, stories etc. in very simple and lucid manner and other hand he takes hard decision in administration.
Mr. Durg Vijay Singh Deep, Deputy Director of All India Radio (News), Portblair said that MR. KK Yadav is a well wisher of ‘Chetna’ and during his tenure in A & N Islands, he link up the activities of Chetna with mainland also, which is active organization and working in these islands since 1998. Well Known Poetess of Islands Mrs. DM Savitri said on the occasion that Mr. Yadavs pragmatic attitude to life is something to be learnt.
On this occasion Mr. Yadav at first thanks to Chetna for such motivating programme and recollected memories and experiences during his period in A & N Islands. He also said that soon he will be publishing a book on various aspect of A&N Islands. He also presented self composed poem and Haiku during his speech.
During the Programme Mrs. D.M Savitry, Mr. Durg Vijay Singh ‘Deep’, Mr. Ghanshyam Singh, Mr. Anirudh Tripathy, Mr. Sheikh Mushtaq Alam recited their poems while vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Neeraj Vaidya. Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Coordinated the Programme.
