Port Blair, Aug 13: The North & Middle Andaman Police Department is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of the residents of the region while fostering a strong sense of community. Through initiatives like “Meri Maati Mera Desh,” the department aims to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the public, creating a harmonious and empowered society.
Uniting the nation through the spirit of sacrifice! As part of #MeriMaatiMeraDesh initiative, North & Middle Andaman Police organized an impactful Marathon at Rangat on 13-08-2023 for honoring our brave Martyrs. All together 80 aspirants ran to celebrate our veer jawans’ sacrifice. The Marathon covered a scenic route through picturesque landscapes, allowing participants to connect with the natural beauty of the region while fostering a spirit of camaraderie and a love for sports among the youth and children. The Marathon started from Hawamahal Junction and concluded at Parnashala last. The winners have been bestowed by Mr. Vishesh Dhatterwal, SDPO, Rangat. An event to honor the valor of our ultimate heroes and keep their spirit alive.
“Meri Maati Mera Desh” is a unique initiative designed to strengthen the bond between the community and law enforcement agencies while encouraging citizens to take an active interest in their environment and culture. The Marathon and Badminton Tournament are part of a series of events planned under this initiative, which aims to build a sense of pride and ownership in the local heritage and surroundings.
