Car Nicobar, Aug.22: The much awaited Carnic Festival-2023 commenced with great fervor and enthusiasm with its inauguration by the Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, at Edward Kuchat Park, Car Nicobar today. The three days mega event organized by District Administration, Nicobars saw a convergence of Tribal leaders, Govt. Officials and large numbers of local residents, all coming together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the region.
The festival ground was abuzz with excitement as various stalls from Government Departments and local tribal people showcased their products. The Deputy Commissioner accompanied by other dignitaries toured the stalls and witnessed the services and products being offered to the public.
One of the main highlights of the festival was the cultural extravaganza that unfolds on the main stage. Captivating local folk dances and mesmerizing talents of the local youths left the audience spellbound. The event also featured a delightful fancy dress where the little children took the center stage, adding adorable touch to the festival.
As the festival continuous to unfold for the next two days, the local public looks forward for the multiple activities that the Carnic Festival has to offer.
