Car Nicobar, Aug. 23:The second day of the Carnic Festival, 2023 continues to draw massive crowd from all corners of the Island. The evening was filled with enthusiasm and patriotism as the crowd that gathered at the venue including the school children were treated to a live telecast of historic & successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon followed by the speech of Hon’ble Prime Minister making the day historical for every Indian citizen. This momentous occasion resonated with the crowd, symbolizing the strides India continues to make in the realm of science and technology underscoring the nation’s achievement in space exploration.
The evening saw large attendees as the stalls representing Government Departments and tribal villages continue to draw huge crowd by offering various services and products. Adding to the cultural richness of the evening, a captivating cultural program and competitions took center stage. The performances featured traditional folk dances, dance and music competitions that showcased the talent of local youths of the Island. The cultural extravaganza continued till late night with a turnout of more than 3000 villagers enjoying the eventful night on day 2 of Carnic Festival.
As the Carnic Festival enters the final day tomorrow, the islanders look forward for the vibrant evening that will unfold on the last day of the Carnic Festival, 2023.
