Port Blair, Sep 22: In continuation of the war against drugs, the team of Police Station Shaheed Dweep has arrested one accused person under NDPS Act 1985 with a recovery of 02 Nos. Cannabis (Ganja) Plants.
On 19/09/2023, credible information was received from an informer that a person namely Rahul Das has Cultivated Some Cannabis Plants. Upon this, a team led by Sub-Inspector P.R Pradeep, SHO PS Shaheed Dweep, HC/154 Negal Shah,
PC/2819 Abdul Wahab C.P, PC/1533 Apurba Biswas, LPC/2853 Sarita Tigga and HC(D)/2549 Manoj Kumar Ekka conducted raid Near Nitai Colony, Ward No.01 Neil Kendra Shaheed Dweep and arrested accused Rahul Das S/o Mr. Abinash Das (20) Yrs, R/o Ramakrishnapur Little Andaman, Now Residing Near Nitai Colony, Ward No.01 Neil Kendra Shaheed Dweep with the recovery of 02 Nos. Cannabis Plants measuring 5 feet and 3.5 feet respectively from the under construction house of the accused person which was planted in a half cut white jerricane. A case under NDPS act has been registered at PS Shaheed Dweep and the accused person has been produced before the Court, from where he was sent to Judicial Custody. Further investigation is under progress. The entire operation took place under the supervision of Mr. Manasvi Vashistha, DANIPS, SDPO Swaraj Dweep.
