Sri Vijaya Puram, May 09: In light of the ongoing situation at the border, which has resulted in the cancellation of leave for Central Government employees, CAPF personnel, and other officials—along with airspace restrictions and the suspension of flights from key airports including Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Kishangarh, and Rajkot—the Hoteliers Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has taken a unified and compassionate step to support affected travelers.
Effective immediately, all member hotels of the Association have unanimously agreed to offer full refunds or free rescheduling for guests whose travel plans have been impacted by the disruptions.
They mentioned the difficulties travelers are facing due to these unforeseen circumstances, and their priority is to ensure guests feel supported and valued during this time. Also, they believe Hospitality is not just about service—it’s about standing by people when they need it most.
This collective decision underscores the Association’s unwavering commitment to hospitality, flexibility, and solidarity during a time of national concern. By putting guest well-being first, the hotel community of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands aims to alleviate additional stress and demonstrate the true spirit of care that defines our service ethos.
The Association also calls upon all hotels and hospitality providers across the Islands to adopt these guest-friendly measures and continue extending understanding and assistance to all affected travelers.
