Sri Vijaya Puram, May 11: The State Hub for Empowerment of Women under Social Welfare Department conducted an awareness programme yesterday on Mission Shakti Schemes and MGNREGA Schemes in collaboration with the Department of Rural Development & Gram Panchayat Wandoor at Panchayat Hall Wandoor. The main objective was to create awareness regarding the welfare schemes under Sambal and Samarthya (One Stop Center, Women Helpline, etc.) and Empowerment Generation through MGNREGA.
The schemes related to MGNERGA were addressed by Mr. G. Prabhu, (Assistant Engineer) and Mr. Wilson Raj (Programme Officer), MGNREGA, Ferrargunj Block. Mission Shakti Scheme was addressed by Mrs. Hemlatha, Gender Specialist and a discussion was also carried out among the participants.
