Mayabunder, Jan 11: Mathematics is a subject enacted in the entire field of Science, Commerce and Arts. It is one of the most important subjects, which not only decides the carriers of many young students but also enhances their ability of analytical and rational thinking.
Mr. Selvakumar, who wanted to write a book on Mathematics since his childhood achieved his dream with this book.
This book has been prepare as per the syllabi prescribed in UG courses like Commerce, Economics , Business Administration and mathematics under Pondicherry University.
This book contains 8 units. The 1st Unit deals about the Ratio and proportion used in business field and the 2nd Unit enumerate the Profit and Loss application in the Business. In continuation the 3rd Unit discussed about Simple and Compound interest. Shares, Debentures and Stocks are major part of the business transaction of joint stock companies. Unit 4 deals about various aspects of Shares, Debentures and Stock like calculation of Interest, dividend, Market value etc. In many multinational corporation and Industries with large scale sectors
are uses various management research technology. So, the basic concepts of Functions and Relations, Matrices and determinants, differentiation and Integration has been explained in respective Units of 5th ,6th,7th and 8th . Each unit took a special care about the basic concepts, formula and relevant illustrations arranged sequence of increasing the standard of questions. Each unit added special question for the students as problems for practice with answers. A list of formulae and University examination paper has been enclosed at the end.
This book Entitled “Mathematics For Commerce” has been published by a internationally renowned Publisher namely “Notion Press, Chennai.”
The book was released on 8th Jan.2015 at M.G.Govt. College Mayabunder by Dr.R.N.Rath, Principal, MGG-College ,Mayabunder in presence of Dr. A.K. Pandey, HOD Anthropology, Dr.Prabhu Ram, HOD BCM in a function at its conference hall on Saturday.
