Territorial Army Recruitment Rally to be held at Diglipur

Diglipur, Sep 19: The 172 Infantry Battalion Territorial Army (TA) Madras is conducting Territorial Army Recruitment Rally at Vivekananda Stadium on 20 & 21 Sep at Diglipur which is the new unit which is raised in Andaman. The main attraction of the recruitment is that this recruitment is for only Andaman Domicile candidates and the age limit for selection is 18-42 years. The selected candidate’s posting will be in Andaman for the lifetime. The Rally will start from 5AM on 20 September 2017. For Campbell Bay and Kamorta Island the rally is already covered. After Diglipur the rally will be carried out at Port Blair. Various posts as per educational qualification i.e from class VIII to XII Pass are vacant such as for soldier GD 327 posts, Clerk (SD) 04 & Tradesman 37 (Chef (Community) – 11,Chef (Special) – 01,Chef (Mess)) – 01, Equipment Repairer (ER)02- , Artisan (Metal Work) – 01,Artisan (Wood Work) – 01, Washer Man – 05, Tailor-01, Mess Keeper – 01, Steward-01, Dresser- 05 & House Keeper-07, the rally is conducted to fill up overall 368 vacancies. The physical test will be carried out on 20th & 21st Sep. After the physical test medical test will be conducted. The selected candidates have to face interview at Port Blair which will be held from 29 Sep- 2 Oct. There will be no written test in this selection and the merit list of selected candidates will be published after the interview. The running test will be done from ANIDICO petrol pump, V.S Pally to Multipurpose hall, Diglipur. Overall about 1800 candidates are expected to participate in the rally. Elaborate arrangements are done for this recruitment by the authorities.
