April 5, 2018 by sanjib 4 Comments

DJ Venkatesh
Port Blair, Apr 5: India’s biggest 4G network Jio is targeting to launch its services in Islands during August month this year. Presently Optical Fiber Cable are being laid across Port Blair city.
The Jio workers believe that within Aug 2018 they will cover whole Port Blair Island and after that they will move to other Islands. Their target is to cover whole A & N Islands within two years.
Two Horizontal Drilling Machines were deployed for cable-laying works across the city. 40 personnel working in two team one towards Sai Mandir and another towards RGT Road.
According to workers they can work in all weather and target of these workers for drilling in city is 500 meters per day but due to hard earth surface they are unable to do so.
In spite of this they are working day and night to complete the target.
According to sources, the main network is being establishing at Garacharama, a land in this connection has been identified and mapping has already been done.
As the Islanders were very enthusiastic about Jio cable lying, hope for 4G network will appear soon in Islands. Presently BSNL is having 2G +3G network and Airtel/ Vodafone is having only 2G.
Meanwhile various websites in internet are already showing Jio 4G pre paid recharge rate for West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar Circle.

only the CABLE COVERS are being laid not OFC.
The JIO board is only for marketing. not that JIO is laying cable.
Please Provide documentary proof that JIO is doing all this laying of CABLE COVER.
After the OFC form Mainland which is about 1000km reaches our Islands, anything further will be possible.
by the time OFC reaches our islands from mainland the cable cover will vanish like the UNDERGROUND ELECTRICITY CABLE LAID AFTER TUSNAMI. (How much money was spend on underground electricity cable laying is it utilized till date)

JIO SHOULD COVER OUR WHOLE ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND. IT SHOULD TARGET ALL THE REMOTE ISLANDS IN NICOBAR AND GREAT NICOBAR REGIONS. SPECIALLY IN CHOWRA , AFRABAY WHERE STUDENTS ARE VERY DEPRESSED FOR NOT GETTING ANY INTERNET OR ATLEAST NETWORK FOR THEIR STUDIES . THEY HAVE LEFT BEHIND THE RACE. SAME CASE IN SOME ISLANDS OF NORTH & MIDDLE ANDAMAN. HOPE WHOLE ISLAND WILL BE COVERED SOON AND JIO WILL ROCK . ATLEAST WE CAN TALK TO OUR FAMILIES WHILE WE ARE IN JOURNEY IN SHIPS OR VEHICLE.
