Port Bair, Dec 14: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced the commencement of online applications for admission to the following programs i..e. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing – B.SCN(PB), Ph.D, session commencing from January, 2024, through an entrance test scheduled for Sunday, 07th January 2024. Interested candidates are invited to register for the entrance test online by visiting the IGNOU University website at www.ignou.ac.in. Port Bair, Dec 14: The Vessel MV SWARAJDWEEP will sail from PORT BLAIR to VIZAG on 16.12.2023 at 1000 Hrs as per the following programs.
Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 Hrs to 1600 Hrs on 15.12.2023.
1. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 0800 Hrs on 16.12.2023. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the scheduled time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.
2. Bonafide passengers may please note that : –
a) The vessel will sail only after completion of survey procedure which will commence on completion of embarkation of passengers for issuance of ‘B’ Certificate as per MS Act.
b) The accompanied baggage exceeding the prescribed norms is likely to be rejected. The size and weight of each package should be 1 Mtrs x 0.5 Mtrs. and within 20 Kgs. It must show in bold letters the name and the ticket number of the passenger. The packages found bigger in size and more in weight will be rejected. The excess baggage will be subject to double the rate of freight.
Note: The passengers are strictly advised to reach well in time as the embarkation of passengers and excess baggage will be closed one hour before the scheduled time. Those passengers arriving late will not be entertained to board the vessel.

Port Blair, Dec. 14:As part of the Island Tourism Festival (ITF) 2023, the Department of Agriculture will be organizing a Flower Show on 28th December, 2023 at ITF Ground. During the Flower Show, competitions will be held on various Categories viz. Fresh Flower and Dry Flower Arrangement, Flat Bouquets, Garland & Rangoli Competitions.
The Application form for enrolment of participants/farmers will be available at HVADA Cell, Directorate of Agriculture, Zonal Agriculture Office, Goalghar and Organic Horticulture Farm, Sippighat on all working hours and also the same can be downloaded from the Administration’s website. The last date for submission of the application form is Dec.26, 2023 upto 5 pm.

Port Blair, Dec. 14:The Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration proposes to engage Programme Co-ordinator/Stage Announcer for the cultural programmes to be organized by the Department of Art & Culture during the Island Tourism Festival 2023 in different venues. Interested persons having Graduation Degree (any discipline) and command over Hindi/English language may attend the skill test scheduled to be conducted on Dec.18, 2023 at 10.30 am in the Chamber of Director (Art & Culture), Cellular Jail Complex, Port Blair with original testimonials.
