Sri Vijaya Puram, May 04: Independent Councillor of Sri Vijaya Puram Municiple Council Mrs. Radhika Dheeraj and Her husband Mr. Dheeraj Ram of ward number 23 formally joined BJP on 03/05/2025. With the joining of Mrs. Radhika Dheeraj the strength of BJP councilor in the SVPMC has increased to 11. This is going to further strengthen the BJP and TDP alliance in the SVPMC.
The proposal of joining by Mrs. Radhika Dheeraj in BJP was brought to the State President, BJP ,Mr. Ajoy Bairagi by the Election Committee of BJP constituted for SVPMC election consisting of four members Mrs. Sheela Singh, State Vice President, Mr. K. Ramdas, State General Secretary, Mr. Anil Kumar Tiwari, State Secretary and Mr. Jitender Narayan, District President of BJP.
The party joining program held today at State BJP Bhavan at Middle point, Sri Vijaya Puram in presence of the State President BJP Mr.Ajoy Bairagi and Chairperson SVPMC Mr. Shahul Hamid along with other Councillors of SVPMC and Senior leaders of BJP and other karyakartas of the party.
Mrs. Radhika Dheeraj expressed happiness in joining the BJP and conveyed gratitude to the party leadership and promised to work together to strengthen the BJP by following the ideology of BJP.
State President Mr. Ajoy Bairagi also addressed the gathering and expressed that with joining of the independent Councillor in the BJP parivar the party will emerge stronger in the days to come. He further concluded by expressing his gratitude to to one and all involved in the process of the recent elections to the office of the Chairperson, SVPMC and Adhyaksh and Up- Adhyaksh of N & M Andaman District where the party has made remarkable victory. He further desired that the party leadership and cadre should work together for the bright future of the BJP in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
