Port Blair, June 14: The moon in the Islands has not been sighted on Thursday the 14th June 2018 and accordingly the Andaman and Nicobar Hilal Committee in the meeting has decided that EID-UL-FITR will be celebrated in these Islands on Saturday the 16th June 2018. Meanwhile, the Hilal Committee has conveyed its good wishes on this auspicious occasion to all the people of these Islands. “ May this EID strengthen world peace, prosperity, bonds of brotherhood and bring happiness amongst all the people,” a release issued by Andaman and Nicobar Hilal Committee said here today.
